SPECIAL EDUCATION

Education is a fundamental right of all people and to make this effective it demands the guarantee that all children and young adults have access to a quality education with equal opportunities. This includes all children and young adults with or without disabilities.

In order to reach our main goal, that of inclusion, we base the intervention on the Model of Rights, being the most recent focus for approaching people with disabilities on a worldwide level.  In order to trace the pathways of life, we have a battery of psycho-educational tests, which permit us to make adjustments to the National Base Curriculum, giving a lot of emphasis on the adaptive skills.

Ciclo Inicial: From 4 to 6 years of age

This is the first educational experience within the process towards inclusion. Our program develops an individualized comprehensive plan for each child, which includes goals related to the development of cognitive perception, communication, fine and gross motor skills and at the same time includes a functional academic plan that begins the process of learning to read and write. Additionally, the plan includes supportive individualized therapies, which is determined by the individual needs of the child.

Educational Classes, Cycle I and II From 7 to 13 years of age

The educational program we developed for levels I and II, includes a functional academic plan and a simultaneous plan of adaptive skills included in three phases: Conceptual skills: literacy, functional academic base, and self-direction, Social skills: to develop the capacity to relate to others, resolve conflicts, follow instructions, and rules. Practical skills: whose primary purpose is focused on the implementation of activities of daily living, and personal care, in order to improve their level of inclusion in the social, educational, labor and family domains. The goal is for the students to acquire and enhance these skills to carry out activities of daily living with autonomy and independence.

Cycle III and IV From 13 to 21 years of age

Our greatest objective is to include children and young adults into the National System of Education, for which reason we promote the alliance with the Ministry of Education, and we strengthen the abilities and capabilities in order to achieve this objective. Accelerated Primary School We have a Program of Continuous Education, which permits the students to opt for the certifications of academic grades from Primary School, endorsed and issued by the Ministry of Education, in the modality of in-person education with tutoring in different courses and academic levels.

Our Principles

We work with passion, professionalism, integrity and a spirit of service, so that people with intellectual disabilities and autism can be independent and attain their goals.
